I have combined different methods of making paper pulp to create a new way to recycle paper. Designers usually press paper into block shapes or treat it like clay to make various objects. I took these two techniques and pressed a mixture of paper pulp into fabric molds. By pressing the mixture thoroughly, I can remove excess liquid, which makes the paper stronger and helps it dry faster.

Unlike designers who typically use rectangular molds, my molds have organic shapes and can be taken apart and put back together for reuse. Through this paper recycling process, I want to give new life to discarded paper. My method keeps a handmade feel, similar to other paper pulp techniques. Making the pulp mixture from scratch allows me to connect visually with the materials, which adds even more meaning to the process for me.
